A Glorious Fall Day

A beautiful day, yummy picnic food, incredible friends...These things all make for a GLORIOUS day during my favorite season of the year.  We headed out to a local state park to see the sights and enjoy the fellowship.

These four...I just love them so much! IMG_4157
This woman....I am so thankful that she is in my life. She is AMAZING! I can not get enough of that little man on her back. He is quite the little flirt. IMG_4189
There were wooly worms (what I called them from my childhood) everywhere. There is a link between wooly worms and winter, isn't there? I need to look that one up because they were everywhere we looked.

I'm not sure if they will go hiking with us again after we assured them this trail was easy for a stroller...we just happened to forget ALL OF THE STAIRS! Sorry about that! IMG_4193 IMG_4168 IMG_4207 IMG_4208
This is what a 1.7 mile hike with breaks will do to Daddy these days.  So thankful that he was able to go with us and so looking forward to the day he doesn't feel like this anymore.

It was a beautiful day!  I can't get enough of fall.  I do hope that the colors brighten. A Hike and a Picnic

We're Still Here

Well life has been very busy as you can tell from the lack of blog posts.  I will update later on the things we've been up to that have kept us so busy.

We did have a great day yesterday doing some fun stuff.  Peanut had her typical Saturday morning soccer game.  She continues to do a great job.  She has surprised us with how she is right in there trying to get the ball.

Her coaches are amazing and so encouraging. We are so thankful for their positive attitudes. They always recognize when the kids do something great and praise them. They also know how to encourage them in a positive way! Pumpkin does pretty good on the side lines. She always gets to have a donut so of course she loves that!

Afterwards Daddy went back home to rest for a bit. The girls and I met up with some buddies at a local church's harvest festival. Everything was free...games, food, pumpkins, even groceries! It was such a great family fun event!

Later that evening we got some balloons to send to Mimi in Heaven for her birthday. The girls love doing this and really do believe that she is getting them. I love that! They filled the balloons with hugs and lots of lipstick kisses. IMG_4117 IMG_4110 IMG_4128
They watched them until they couldn't see them anymore!
