He is risen!  He is risen indeed!

This past weekend we celebrated 4 amazing years with Pumpkin in our lives and we also celebrated Easter.  Easter to me is the epitome of our faith.  He died as a sacrifice for my sins, for you sins and then He rose again to overcome death.  Because of Him, because of what He did, we are victorious.  We don't have to live in failure or defeat but in hope and victory.

We celebrated with Dobbie, Papa, and Gigi who all spent the night and went to Easter services with us.  The service was beautiful.  The lilies adorned the front of the church where the cross was draped in white.  The music rose to the Heavens.

The week prior to Easter the girls and I did some things to prepare for Easter.  One night we read through the Jelly Bean prayer and ate a jelly bean for each color represented.  Another night we made bracelets that we wore all week that had color beads that represented a part of the Easter story. We also used a set of Resurrection Eggs and the book Benjamin's Box each night at bedtime. It's a hands-on way for kids to hear the Easter story and hold things in their hands that represent parts of the story. I am amazed at the details Pumpkin picked up on this year and remembered just by doing the eggs each night at bedtime. We had a great Easter together celebrating the hope we can find in Jesus. Of course, there were Easter baskets and a little egg hunt from friends. IMG_1876 IMG_1883
(A special friend bought the beautiful dresses and sweaters for the girls to wear on Easter. Aren't they beautiful? Thank you so much, sweet friend!)
