Friday night after the school carnival the girls had to go with me to our church. I am on the mom's group committee and had to help set up for a Baby Item Sale to take place the next day. On the way I returned a phone call to one of my friends. When she found out I was taking the girls with me she said, "I am headed home. Meet me at AutoZone and I will take your girls home so they can play and you can actually get your work done." How awesome is that? She even topped that by calling me a half hour later and said, "The girls want to just spend the night. I am watching them for you tomorrow anyways so that would just make it easier for everyone. Is that ok with you?" YES! So Peanut and Pumpkin got to have a sleep-over with their buddies. This was Pumpkin's first sleep-over at a friend's house. She had a blast!

What do you think? Did they have fun? I was told the last one finally fell asleep at 11:30 and that was Peanut!

Spirit Week

Last week was Spirit Week for Peanut's school. Each day they got to dress up in a certain theme. She did everyday except for one which was twin day and we didn't have anyone to dress up the same as. The first day was pajama day which I didn't get a picture of. The second day was Storybook Character day. She wanted to be Dorothy from Wizard of Oz since we already had the costume from Halloween. The next day was Nerd Day. She thought this was pretty silly.

And the final day was Sports Fan Day so we had to go with the Hoosiers!

Friday evening was the school carnival that ended Spirit Week. Peanut and Pumpkin had a great time playing the fun carnival games and picking out their treasures at the end. IMG_2049 IMG_2055

This afternoon was gorgeous!  We spent the morning at church getting fed and refreshed.  Afterwards we had a yummy lunch at a local, legendary pizza joint.  The sun and the gorgeous flowers were beckoning me, so we headed home and I grabbed my camera.  I took the girls downtown and to campus where I tried to capture the magic that is happening everywhere.  It is GREEN and the colors are amazing right now with so many flowers blooming.

Come along and enjoy our spring with us!

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Matthew 6:28-34

We ended our afternoon out with a trip to the candy store and a park to eat the stash.

This Face

This face...that frown...I can't take it.  She pops that lip out when she is not happy and I just have a really hard time not giggling.  I mean look at it.  Try to tell me it's not one of the cutest things you have ever seen!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Last night Daddy and the girls attended a Daddy Daughter Dance here in town.  The girls were excited to get all dolled up.  They got their fingernails painted, hair curled, and lips glossed.

Peanut's hair really got curly! It was adorable although when she saw it right after the curlers were taken out she was not too sure about it. She said, "WHAT!"

Daddy and the girls said the dance was a lot of fun. They got to eat dinner together, dance, and the girls to meet a "fairy" in her fairy house.

Spring Weather

Finally the snow is behind us, I hope!  Pumpkin and I have been spending our afternoons outside while Peanut is at school.  We've going to the park, playing in the backyard, riding bikes, blowing bubbles, and drawing on the sidewalk.  We're so thankful that we can be outside and enjoying the sun! So thankful for these 3 special people who spent many hours in their vehicles this weekend to come and celebrate Pumpkin's birthday and Easter with us!  We had so much fun and are so grateful.
 Lots of cuddles happened!
I heard many times this weekend, "I miss Mimi."  She is thought of so often and missed even more!
