Pumpkin's Birthday

Pumpkin had a fun birthday at least from all of her smiles and joy, I am assuming she felt that way. She woke up on her birthday to homemade blueberry pancakes and a birthday crown. She was grinning from ear to ear.

Upon leaving our apartment in her birthday crown and shirt, she found a very long Rapunzel braid hanging on our door announcing her birthday. She loves Rapunzel or "Punzel" as she calls her.

For lunch we met with just a few friends at a park for a picnic playdate and birthday cookies. Again the smile was wide and constant.

Gigi got to our place in the afternoon to spend the weekend and help us celebrate. We headed out to a local restaurant that I knew would sing to her and she would get a special treat. After dinner a group of waiters and waitresses came over and sang "Happy Birthday" to her and she was grinning a mile wide. Daddy asked her how that made her feel and she said, "HAPPY!" Worth it! She got a free sundae out of it too.

On Saturday we celebrated with Gigi, Dobbie and Papa. I made a special birthday lunch for everyone and then Gigi made homemade ice cream. The girls got to help.

And for my little Rapunzel, I made her Rapunzel's tower for her birthday cake. I was not overly happy with how it turned out as I finished it up very late friday night but her reaction on Saturday morning took that all away. She just stood in the kitchen and stared at it, then yelled, "There's Punzel's braid!" Peanut on the other hand wanted to know where Rapunzel was and where was Flynn Rider? Haha!

Next up was gifts. The girls were very blessed by lots of thoughtfulness. We appreciated all of the love poured out on them and they enjoyed their new things with very grateful hearts.

Her big gift from us was an art easel. She loves it and uses her dry erase markers on it to draw everyday. Lots of great masterpieces will be created on this easel, I am sure.
