County Fair

County Fair
This past week was the county fair here in our community. We decided to start Peanut's birthday celebration early and go on Wednesday. We braved the wicked temperature of 104 with the heat index thinking later that it may not have been the brightest idea. We survived though. Peanut and Pumpkin loved looking at the animals. Just from their expressions and reactions, I think the poultry barn was their favorite. There are some really silly looking chicken that gave them both the giggles.

Daddy stole Peanut away and took her on several rides. During this time Pumpkin and I tried to walk around and look at things but it was SO hot. She was melting into a Pumpkin puddle so after a treat of strawberry shortcake, we went to the van and blasted the A/C as we waited for Daddy and Peanut.

Peanut rode the ferris wheel with Daddy and didn't bat an eye. This shocked me quite a bit. She usually has a healthy fear of new things. She had a ball! She also rode the bumper cars and thought it was very funny that she could run into other cars. Last night we were on our way home from somewhere and she said, "Mom, you could just bump that car in front of us." Haha!

She had a very fun prelude to her birthday!
