VBS

Last week kicked off a busy June for us, well really for Peanut. The church where her preschool was located held an evening VBS program and she got to go. She loved it and I love that!

On the last night after VBS there was a carnival to celebrate the week. The girls had so much fun taking in the free hot dogs, blow up toys like bounce houses and slides and carnival games. Here are some pictures from carnival night.

Do you see that sweet young girl beside Peanut? She was an assistant in Peanut's group and let me just say that Mom and Dad were totally ditched so Peanut could hang out with her. She told us umpteen times about her new best friend too and for a few days after VBS lamented about not seeing her again. She was a sweetheart and won Peanut's heart!

And now for the last three pictures. Peanut LOVED the blow-up slide so for our final fun event Daddy took both girls up the slide to go down with them because that is how Peanut rolls sometimes. She is unsure about some things like slides but totally ok with me leaving her in a VBS class where she knows only one other child! Pumpkin on the other hand could not get to the top fast enough. Once at the top Peanut works hard to spread out the blanket just right while Pumpkin flops down on her belly and immediately goes down head first laughing and squealing the whole time!

One funny story about Pumpkin from the week. One night we went to pick Peanut up and were a bit early so I took Pumpkin to the sanctuary where the big kids were ending their session with worship. Pumpkin was ENTHRALLED...there were lights and loud music. So the next night after we dropped Peanut off, Pumpkin led me to the sanctuary saying, "I hear music loud!" over and over. This totally fits her personality to a T!
