He is Risen!

Easter Bunny!
Peanut had her first taste of Easter fun this year. Well really it was her second taste but she was more into it this year at 20 months when last year she was only 8 months old. She was only 8 months old last year. Wow! Anyways...let me wipe these tears so I can continue. :) She went to her first Easter egg hunt at a church right around the corner from our home. It was held inside as it has been cold here and had snowed the night before. She figured out what to do pretty quickly and started finding eggs to put in her bucket. She was very interested about what was inside these fascinating plastic eggs.

Now Peanut has not had candy very much in her life...probably only once or twice in fact. How did she know that what was inside those eggs needed to be eaten and that it was yummy? How? How do they know these things? I gave her a small raspberry 3 Muskateers and hid the rest!

We had to stay with Grandma later in the day so Grandpa could go to an appointment so we colored Easter eggs. Peanut was fascinated that the white eggs were changing colors! It was fun to see her oooo and ahhh over them. She had fun eating them too!

Yummy Eggs

This morning Peanut was very excited to find a basket of goodies in the middle of the living room floor! She had fun going through the fun things. Inside she found a book called What is Easter?, a movie about Peter Rabbit, a peeping chick, and a toy rake and shovel. There was also a stuffed puppy from Dobbie and Papa and chocolate bunnies. Oh, so much fun! She even twisted my arm and we had one small piece of chocolate before breakfast.

Now a couple of fun pics from the past week. On Wednesday while at Grandma and Grandpa's Cora was very busy. Grandpa has a shelf that he puts his plastic bottles and glass jars on for recycling. I was busy cleaning up the kitchen after supper and noticed that Peanut had been walking back and forth from that shelf to the living room numerous times. I discovered that most of it contents and some tupperware were gone. I followed her to the living room to discover that she had been piling it all on top of Grandpa who was laughing. She worked on this for at least a half hour. She even found a box of canned pop and starting bringing cans of pop to him. (If you go to Grandpa's anytime soon beware that some of the canned pop might explode when opened due to a 20 month old, running with it and dropping it. Sorry!) Here is a picture of Peanut with her creation!

We went shopping with Dobbie on Friday night. I found the cutest sunglasses for Peanut and had to try them on her. There was a mirror for her to see herself in and she loved it. But I quickly realized that sunglasses would not last long in her hands so we did not purchase them, but it was fun to model them for all of the 10 seconds that would keep them on her face.

We hope that you all are having or had a WONDERFUL Easter! He is risen indeed!!!

"After the Sabbath, as the first light of the new week dawned, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to keep vigil at the tomb. Suddenly the earth reeled and rocked under their feet as God's angel came down from heaven, came right up to where they were standing. He rolled back the stone and then sat on it. Shafts of lightning blazed from him. His garments shimmered snow-white. The guards at the tomb were scared to death. They were so frightened, they couldn't move. The angel spoke to the women: "There is nothing to fear here. I know you're looking for Jesus, the One they nailed to the cross. He is not here. He was raised, just as he said."
Matthew 28:1-6 (The Message)

I shared the lyrics to a song that has meant so much to me these past couple of weeks. I would also like to share a video that was made to this song. I found it on youtube and it is very meaningful for Easter. If you click on the title it will take you to the video...All I Can Say.

How stinking fun! I love easter egg hunts. I laughed out loud at the pics of Cora bringing all her goods to Grandpa to hold.
