Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a fun first big holiday with Cora. We celebrated Thanksgiving with Dobbie and Papa on Wednesday evening. Dobbie cooked up a very yummy meal with new recipes from Paula Dean. Yum, Yum! We then celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa Danner on Thursday. I cooked up that meal. I'm always so nervous about cooking the turkey and never seem to get it put in early enough. Oh well! Poor Grandpa has been under the weather, so his Thanksgiving appetite wasn't very big. He still enjoyed seeing our peanut! She was even equipped with her own turkey outfit. So cute!

We were so busy with the Thanksgiving celebrations on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, we went with Dobbie shopping in the afternoon. It wasn't too bad by the time we hit the stores. Santa got Cora an early Christmas gift. It is a Baby Einstein jumper for her to use. She is starting to sit up with help but we think soon she'll be using the jumper! Right now she is still a bit short as you can see from the picture below. Her feet don't quite touch the floor but they will soon enough! (Thank you, Dobbie!)

Poor Cora! After all of our running, she was toast on Saturday. She fussed and cried all day. Of course, I had started putting the Christmas stuff up. I didn't get very far while she was awake. During her cat naps, I worked like a wild woman! I love getting the house all decorated. I'm a sucker for the holidays...Christmas music, Christmas movies, Chrismas baking....I even love Christmas commercials!

Cora has been trying to roll. Right now she can only go to her side. I don't think she even realizes what she's doing. She's going to surprise us here one day soon and go right on over!

I took some pictures of Cora after church today to commemorate her being 4 months old on November 28. I bought the sailor dress for her last spring. I remember falling in love with it and asking Dobbie if we had a boy, if she could make it shortalls for him! HaHa! I think she looks so precious in it. Today is probably the last chance for her to wear it, as winter is coming, according to the weatherman. It has been so nice the past few days.

We hope you each had a wonderful holiday and took time to remember all of the blessings the Lord has given you this year. Bet you can't guess what we're most thankful for! CORA!!!! This past Friday marked the one year anniversary of when Kevin and I found out we were expecting. How exciting and wonderful. Look at us now! Wow!
